as i'm sure many of you know, princeton's book is littered with typos, some more serious than others. i was wondering if anyone has found or compiled a list of these typos online? if so, it would serve as a useful reference and catch-all. if you know of anything out there, please point the way.

I have a small list. Let me know if you need it. Feels like there's no one on this board, so I don't want to waste time unless someone actually answers.

Would it be too much trouble for you to post those errors? I'm sure anyone using the book would like to see that list. I certainly would.

Since so many people have replied, here is the list

I haven't gone through the entire book yet, but so far this is what I have found (if I misread or am completely wrong about my correction, I apologize)

1) Page 21- Opposite angle identity should be cos(-x) = cos(x)
Page 21- Add/sub formulas should be cos(a+b) = cos(a)cos(b) - sin(a)sin(b)

2) Page 23- #3: No solutions are correct, so see the answer in the back for the
"real" problem"; #4: Should say "...expresses f(n+2)..."; answer (D) and (E) are
the same.

3) Page 28- #16: Should be "x^3 - 3x^2 + 6x -4 = 0 "

4) Page 93- #17: Should be f'(1) = -1

5) Page 342- #38: Should be "if n = 1" (not n = -1)
